I was just wondering if anyone on here knows what the minimum donation is for re-homing a dog via RSPCA??

I have heard varying amounts from £50 to £200 from friends. I know the obvious answer is to call them, but I need to gauge everything with my OH before committing myself and officially enquiring.

I know it was £50 when we got our cat, they would have let us have her for much less but as it was CPL thats what we gave them.

Thanks

It generally depends on the breed/age/health of the dog. Look at it this way, vaccinations, chipping, full vet health check, behavioural assessment and nueturing is all done for you so even at £200 for a mutt it's still a pretty good deal. :D That's how I explain away every new addition to my pack anyway!! ;)

We charge £150 for all no matter breed, we charge less for pensioners.

We chip ,neuter, vaccinate, de flea, worm, and insure them for 4 weeks.
Supply somefood, brand new lead and collar and sometimes alot more depending on dog.
Obs and feed them:D

The above would cost about £300-400 depending on breed

Thanks cobgirlie. Thats not bad, I know how much it can costs to have them neutered etc and at least it will go towards helping the next little chap or chapette that coming through the door!

Got to have a serious chat with OH tonight, we already have one dog and someone had pointed out a beautiful little girl at the RSPCA near us, I have sent a few initial enquries and see seems ideal. I didnt want to look rude asking cost!! As we already have a dog and 3 cats and live in a 2 bed bungalow OH not overlly keen!

Done my maths with insurance costs, vaccs, feed etc. time, walkies duties etc. so getting ready for the big discussion tonight! Wish me luck!

Loads of luck...and if all else fails get rid of hubby and fill the house with rescues..that's what I did and never looked back!! Lol!!! :D
