Hi - just a quick question - how much would it cost to put an decent surface down in an indoor school (60m x 25m) - I want something that could be used by a number of people (liveries) and possible withstand low level competitions in the future (dssg and SJ) - just an approximation at this point would be really helpful to work out if it is feasible.
many thanks in advance

I used Parkway for my surface. They're very helpful and can give you prices for different options. As a steer my 40x20 sand and rubber school surface cost about £7000.

i'd call Equestrian Surfaces and a few other companies that do lots of different surfaces, to get a rough idea, i think. it depends if you've already got sand down, say, and just want to top it with rubber or something fancier, or if you want the whole top surface. depends what's underneath, too.
very very roughly i'd say £10-£12k upwards, depending on the foot penetration, ride quality etc that you want, and how often you're happy to go in with a leveller to smooth it out again. the cheaper surfaces tend to ride deeper and need levelling much more frequently, for e.g.

I'm building a 60 x 40 outdoor arena and having 5 inches of silica sand with 3 inches of Spring-Tek rubber and foam on top, thats costing £17,000.

If you're looking at waxed surfaces, I got a quote from Equestrian surfaces (again for a 60 x 40) and it was £37,000

and McArdle (which are fab surfaces) which was £50,000!!!!!!!!
