cost of x ray

Hi -
Does any one have idea of how much an x ray is (horse x ray)

Last time I had one done it was £15 per plate plus VAT & the call out fee. It was a little while ago now though.

My vet was going to do some for me last week she quoted £150 plus call out - for my horses knee

I paid £120 for one xray at Leahurst a few weeks ago. That didnt include any vets time, call out, examination costs etc... It was purely for the xray.

Wow, thats alot. My girl was in newmarket for investigation in december, and she had 16 plates taken at a cost of about £240 if i remember correctly (just the cost of the xrays and plates). Which i though was pretty reasonable for the number they took.
