i was just wandering the cost of xrays , foot and potential tendon upto knee, will be done at yard with portable xray machine. many thanks

my bill came to just under 400 including xrays on both fronts (this included his pedal, pastern and navicular) this also included sedation as he was a fidget!

Radiography fee is £125 (includes first plate) then £14 for each additional plate. These are excluding VAT, sedation and visit fee.

Full foot x-rays require 5 plates per foot, fetlock 5 plates and canon 4 plates each.

We charge a visit, sedation (if the horse needs it) and £180ish for 8 plates ( up to 4 views of each leg for comparison) any extras are about £15 each one, unless its to do a better one cos we cant see it very well !!

if you are worried about tendons as well though, thats a scan - and thats about £160ish for both legs (again for comparison - most vets do this because something that is on one leg and looks like a problem might well be on the other and completely normal for that horse!)

Fingers crossed they show whatever you want them to show.
