A couple of weeks ago my daughter's attention was drawn to an advertisement saying that the above horse was going to be put up for loan to a youngster as he wasn't going to make it at the very top level (too slow across country). Their Pony Club trainer, Sam, suggested that my grandaughter, Rosie, ought to apply and she duly went up to Sarah Cohen's for a try out. At the time, she was told she had ridden the horse very well. They have just heard that the horse is to be loaned to Georgie Spence but that Rosie was second in line. How exciting is that! In my (admittedly biased) opinion, if GS is better than Rosie, she must be very good and the best of luck to the partnership!

WOW Georgie is doing so well for herself.

Congrats to your GD too, shes also done very well with two good results under her belt already.

Lucky Georgie, although I believe that the horse has a number of confidence issues to be overcome, resulting from when it ripped it's front shoes off at either Braham or Blenheim (can't remember which). Hopefully it will enjoy life at a slightly slower pace as it certainly is a talented horse.

I wasn't there, but I gather she would have done even better at Poplar if BB (short for Birthday Boy - was her 12th birthday present and she's 16 now) hadn't played up in the dressage phase and pranced off into the next door arena. He can be a most horrible monster!

I knew Georgie Spence would get it!!! How strange!!!

Boss on here tried it too - it was obvious i think that it would go to someone like that - a name!!

Well done to Rosie though

Will be interesting to see what Georgie does with him. He's a lovely horse, will suit her riding down to the ground. Well done to Rosie- I didnt get on with the horse, not used to such a beautifully mannered ride, prefer mine with a bit of spark

Apparently my GD has been struggling to get BB to do an extended trot (is that what it's called?) but having done it on the well mannered one, she is now getting BB to do it - so it wasn't a wasted journey

. I think GS is probably the ideal person to have the horse on loan as I gather they'd like to see it competing on the Junior Team circuit.
