cough advice?

need a bit of advice on neddys cough!! started about two weeks ago has no nasal distarge poss slight temp (on danilon so this keeps it down any way). did have choke five days before cough started was quite bad had vet and was tubed and stuff also bleed a little with the tubing. first notice cough on second ride after the choke but alos does it at rest obvously gets wore with exercise. is on no hay and lives out at the mo. is very perky eatting normal just unsure were to go now??? do i just rest her another week or do i have vet now or wait till nxt tues when call out is much cheeper??
did have lower resp infection 18mths ago only symptom then was bleeding!
any suggestions

Personally I'd keep an eye on it and just see how or if it develops.

Low level walking work would probably be ok. However, if you do think that there is a temperature related to the cough then I would get the vet.

ye keep a eye on it...the vet might of caused a bit of a grazing inside when they tubed him, a horse at my yard choked once (greedy git)and the vet tubed him and he developed a cough, keep a eye on it , try him on cough medecine (i would recommend lincoln Koff syrup bout 4.95 and its herbal) if his cough does not stablize i would seek vet advise. Yep i would think it would be effects of the tubing - its the same with humans, it makes the airways very sore. After Rock had his endoscope he coughed for about 2weeks then was fine.
It will go as the irritation in the airways heals, but maybe put him on a short course of kof-eze or something similar? There are loads of liquid supplement to add to a small feed to help a cough, basically cough syrup. I wouldnt be worrying just yet.

thanks that was wot i was thinking. cant really walk her as coughing being grazed just being led and in field. will giving her till monday (it will be just over three wks form choke then) then reasses if vet needed will get either on tues or give her another wk and wait till following tues. have got her on NAF respiorateor(?). has been tubed and scoped before just guess shes not going to be so staright forwards this time!!!
