My pony is 28 years old. The cough is a hacking cough....not all day, usually worse in the morning and occasionally through the day. She has been seen by the vet who thought I was doing everything that I could and nothing to worry about.
You name it, Ive tried it. No different in the summer to the winter. She is living out now and that hasnt stopped it. Ive de-dusted the stable, ventipulmin, naf respirator, cough mixture, soaked and steamed hay and then haylage.
Ive fed her tonight a very moist feed and she coughed bits up after finishing it. It seems whenever she has feed in her gullet, even grass.
Teeth up-to date, wormed up to date. Has anyone else had this and tried anything that I havent.
Think Im going to have her scoped as I cannot seem to beat it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
