Cough remedies

There's a bit of a chesty cough going round the yard at the moment. Nothing sinister, one of those viruses that seem to turn up in the autumn, so not a vet jobby just yet.

Has anyone had any luck with cough medicines or feed additives? I know NAF do one, just wondered what's rated.

1 part Benelyn (sp?) with 2 parts veg oil - mix together and give about 20ml through a syringe (orally).

If cough persists then get the vet.

But my vet said it was ok to give the Benelyn (non drowsy)

I've just started my two on Equine America 'Airways'. Dry cough caused by a day's unsoaked hay, my fault.

Cost £14.99 for months supply.

After 2 days seems to have helped, fingers crossed.
