Cough

My little mini mare has had a cough for a week now. Seemed to start when she ate some dry chaff and its stayed. I'm watering down her feeds and hay and trying to make sure her bed is dust free and she's out as much as possible. It seems to come on when she reaches her head up to me so not all the time and she chews a bit after it as if she's coughed something up. Sometimes sounds a bit garggly. Eating and drinking fine no coughing when she's eating.

Could she have a chill or just a sore throat from the first cough?

Have the vet booked for Tuesday.
