Who says you can't stop a sight hound in mid flight?? Or in my case before flight starts?!!
There I was checking the horses, walking the fence as I do every day looking for 'dangers'.... dog in tow (leading the way). BTW, dog off lead, as normal.
I briefly looked at a particular bad nasty sticky outy bramble when 4, yes FOUR deer popped up and leapt across in front of us. Dog, 'Ebby' paused for a mili sec, I paused for several mili secs not sure to shout to Ebs to leave or to stare at the deer in amazment at how close they were, then thought ''FENTON - jesus christ''!!!!
And what did Ebs do? Looked, pricked ears, then looked at me for permission!!!! I called her over in my 'game play mode' - just in case, but really there was no doubt in my mind she wasn't going to 'go' in the first place..... Although FENTON moment had me laughing at the thought!!!
