The pony who I loan has suddenly developed a mysterious lameness. He was laying down in his stable the other day (very rare for him) and is very stiff when you first start to ride him although he loosens up by the end of a ride. I've taken him for a few short rides at walk only and for every ride and when he's stabled, he has his leg bandaged. Is there anything else we need to do before the vet checks it and how likely is it to be Arthritis? He's a 21 year old Welsh B. If you need more information then feel free to ask.
