I am feeling really sad, so I hope you don't mind me asking. I am all stressed and up in the air because I have to apply for my job and be interviewed etc. next month and I've no idea if I will still have a job, or if I do where in Essex it might be.

Then yesterday, my lovely YO dropped a bombshell, she has cancer, she is my age (38) and has a young family, added to this they have put the yard on the market.

Then this evening my friend rang for a chat and her brother has just been told he has terminal cancer.

I just thank god for mine and my families health and that I had George's mane to cry into today

Awww GG that's terrible ((((((hugs))))))
You must be feeling very deflated - it all comes at once doesn't it - I hope you don't have to move yards, but more importantly, I hope that your YO is ok and fights whatever she is faced with.

Can they fine you for hugging on line? Will we have HHO on our backs? What the hell ............. here's one!
There are times in life when everything seems like S..t. Last year I had a dog with cancer, a horse with untreatable kissing spine and a husband having an affair all at the same time. Pants! Thank God for the good things in life.

You must be feeling awful

Your yard owner will be ok. Another livery at my yard found out he had cancer right before christmas, he had his kidney removed a couple of weeks later and last week he got the all clear. Keep your chin up x

((hugs)) my YO and owner of Norman has cancer. To begin with we thought we'd have to sell everything but she's been ok and we've got through with everyone pulling together and helping more. She's only 32. Hugs to you for all that bad news at once

((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) for you.

(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))for your YO

(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))for your friend

(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))for your friend's brother

And a big kiss for George from Dozzie! He will appreciate it as she's all woman!

Chin up. I cant say it will all be fine because you dont know with cancer. All you can do is live in hope.

As for your job, far worse things can happen. If you are short of money you pull your horse out of livery and put him on grass livery short term or find a yard with less facilities until you are sorted. George will survive providing he has grass, shelter, hay at the moment although the grass is already beginning to grow, and a warm rug (cos he's clipped)
Your job situation is not insurmountable

You will adapt if and when you have to.

Just remember that George is your dream. We all know that you have found an absolute treasure in George, (despite you falling off the other day

It happens) but take it from me, once you have found one like him, don't give him up. They are not easy to come by believe me.

I am so sorry that you have had so much bad news to deal with all in one go - thank goodness you had George to comfort you, horses are such great listeners.
I have found that good things can come out of the most horrendous situations.
My thoughts are with you.

Life is just so unfair at times, good luck with your job interview and fingers crossed you don't have to move George too soon.

So sorry to hear about your YO as you get on with her so well, and your friends brother, how awful.

Keep hugging that orange mane, they never tell anyone you know!
