could I have some advice please

I am currently trying a new bit, neue schule universal, have been schooling on the snaffle ring, all fine, he does' nt need anymore than this for skooling, but hacking I sometimes need a bit more, so today thought I'd put some roundings on to see how he went, in the skool before going out hacking, well he had his head like a girraffe and was snatching, did settle a bit after a while, but do you think he was resenting the extra pressure through the bit with the roundings, I ride with soft hsnds, so thinking wether to just go back to just using the one ring, any thoughts ? Yes I would agree with you that he doesn't like the action of the second ring. If you need more brakes than just using the main ring when out hacking I would experiment with some other bits. You'll never have proper brakes if the horse hates the bit and fights it.

Thankyou, think I will try just the one ring out hacking to see how he goes, he was in a sprenger ported correction bit, so bulky compared to the new one, fingers xd. X
