Ive been out of riding properly for about 2 years and have arranged one flatwork, one jump once a week for the next 3 months of my summer hols from Uni.

This was our first flatwork lesson for almost 2 years.. be gentle please :)

I cant see the videos. From the photos it looks like you are ahead of the movement and you need to look up!

Good for you for arranging lessons, hope you have fun improving

Can't see vids as don't do FB...but everything looks ok.....I would just question your saddle being too short for you as you are sitting on the rise of the seat not in the middle.
Pony looks such fun.
Good Luck
Best wishes
Bryndu:)

Horse is very smart - love the matching white legs ;-)
I would say you look generally good, the horse is moving in a nice rhythm looks quite happy and you aren't interfering. You have a similar fault to mine, which is that we both have quite arched lower back which make you a bit tipped forward, and cause tension in other places and an overly straight arm. I try to think about drawing my belly button back towards my spine and imagining my center of gravity low in my body and close to the horse. I'm sure the lessons will make a massive difference really quick. You'll have to put some befores and afters up at the end of the hols! Good Luck have fun x

Lovely horse- and not at all bad considering you've not had a lesson for 2 years! If you were my student- I felt you looked very 'perched' in both the pictures and the videos- not sure if this was due to the saddle or being tense or gripping with the knees as vids too blurry to tell. Your hands move too much- this gets worse when you locked the elbow. It was hard to see if one hand moved more than the other?

Do you sit more into one hip than the other? As you come round the corner toward the poles you appear to 'drop' one side of your body but this may have been a one off- the clip is only 30seconds long.

I know my saddle seems small- im actually having the saddler out next saturday for a new saddle unfort becuase my horse is compact it restricts how big the saddle can be for me.
I am slightly lop sided as i realised my leathers need renewing ;)
New Keiffer ones in the post, never using Stubben again.
