For Patrick who has yet another vet visit tonight, I am hoping the eye ulcers have cleared up sufficiently so he can be let out of his darkened stable so please could I have some postive vibes he is so depressed about being kept in a darkened room.

Thank you both - he did try and do a runner out the door this morning but didn't get very far fortunately.

Fingers firmly crossed for good news.

If not, horse at yard had a single bad ulcer that just refused to heal (older horse so partly expected) but when it wouldn't improve for about a month they took him down to Newmarket where the sedated him, localed the eye and apparently scored it with a scalpel then fitted a contact lense over it.
Horse was back home that day and was allowed daylight from then on I think and in a week it was lots better a couple of weeks later and you couldn't see there had ever been a problem.

So there are further options out there if needed but I really hope Patriks fine today.

Thank you everybody, I really hope its good news as much as anything I can't afford any more vets bills cos he is not insured for this. I am not looking forward to taking him out of the stable for the 1st time though - could be a little interesting!
