I don't know what horses' vision is supposed to be like, but I always thought it was quite good?
I have noticed that when I fetch Hugo from the field, I call him and he looks up to see where the voice is coming from, then he carries on eating. I call again as I get nearer, he looks up and around again and maybe takes a step forward. Then I call again and it's as if he finally sees me and comes running over.
Then today when we were out, two other riders from the yard approached from the opposite direction - he knows both of them. He stopped stock still and waited until they were quite close and it was as if he went 'oh, it's only them' and carried on fine!!
Maybe he needs contacts?!
