i usually do jumping schooling and hacking but have been hacking all the time at the moment and her spooking is driving me mad she is on a calmer and some days it makes a differencce and other days it dosent
Hi, Yes is the answer to your question. Do you vary your routes when hacking? There are lots of reasons apart from that of course. Is she fed correctly as spring is in the air sometimes they can be getting more grass than you realise as it starts to come through, some of the horses on my yard are feeling very full of their selves at the mo! Hope you get sorted as I know it can ruin hacking when they are like that all the time. Maybe you could try schooling her before hacking to just take the edge off her? Have fun and good luck
Spring grass--high sugars low magnesium--so yes horses can get silly this time of year--make sure your calmer contains magnesium or add MagOx to his feed
yes i vary the way we go every time cause i find hacking can be boring i do it so we dont canter all the time because she starts to expect to canter in all fields
she is being fed hay and hifi lite and cool mix and relax me horse first garlic and glucosamine
i try and do something with her 6 days a week either lungeing or hacking
