Wormed my dog yesterday with Easimax Plus and today this worm came out of him, it's the only one i've found in his poop and it was still wiggling, could someone identify it for me please ? will it mean that he has more ? should I re-worm, if so how soon and with what ? - bit concerned now although to be honest he is very well in himself, eating fine and has a good glossy coat and sparkly eyes. Thank you for any help.

Jeezus:eek: Looks like roundworm to me. A dose of Drontel should do it.

ETA, I have to say if I discovered one of those in my dogs poo I would have had a nervous breakdown, nevermind exhibiting it on a stick and having the foresight to photograph it!

Thank you, believe me I was having a nervous breakdown, along with gagging, but also knew that I needed to find out what it was and how to deal with it, so had my unwilling assistant (aka my husband) dig it out with a stick and let me photograph it to find out :)

Well, the wormer worked even if the worm did come out alive and kicking! Might be worth worming again in a month just to make sure. I would be vigilant with regards to poo-picking and washing hands etc.:)

Looks like a round worm many years ago I had a Lakeland Terrier Pup who I couldnt get any condition on and was told the dog hasnt got worms but a WORM when strongly wormed 1 Tape worm about 18" long problem sorted.
