The placing of the magnets is not at all important - they will do nothing no matter where you put them. Save your money.

I know quite a few people who swear by magnets on both themselves and their horses, I am willing to give it a go.

I've seen some on ebay that look good but havent tried them yet! There are pastern wrap ones and over reach type ones. The shop is equine magnetix and link here for you -

In summary...

From the results of this study, one may conclude that there is no effect of low-intensity static magnetic fields on blood circulation to the equine third metacarpal region. Even if there were an increase in circulation, that might not equate to a beneficial physiologic effect

I have a horse that is 3/10 lame and whilst we are investigating why (currently at vet clinic!) I have borrowed a pair of bioflow boots.

They really have helped, she has them on over night and is sound I the morning. Due to trip to clinic today I ave left them off for past 2 nights and she is now lame again.

Vet said they do improved blood flow and lots of people have great results.

My dog who has hip displacia wears a magnetic collar and has now begun running without suffering yr next day.
