16.3 irish draught x tb dark bay 4 1/2 bay mare.
very striking and has a lovely head.
Schooling nicely , temprement to die for and very laid back has the temprement to suit a novice but has the scope to go further for someone more proffessional.
Started jumping and seems to have potential.
Been to several fun rides, and dressage first test scored 66 %would make a fantastic ladies hunter/ show hunter. 9 1/2"bone. no vices, hacks alone and in company first or last. Snafle mouthed. travels well and is now ready to start her career. Toatally un spoilt and i have had her from birth. Thanks guys

Difficult to say without seeing pics and having more details on her breeding. I have seen one similar advertised at £3.5k at the moment which I thought seemed rather cheap.
Without seeing herI would guess £4-£5k at the moment but could be quite a bit more in the Spring I think prices are quite a bit lower at the moment. If she is really good show quality - which I know nothing about - I am imagining quite a bit more. Similarly if good enough to do well in young event horse classes there may be quite a bit to add to that.

prob a bit more than prices quoted.. try buying something like you describe... they are not that easy to find

No im just trying to get some feed back on what price i should advertise her for. Never sold a horse so i dont reallyknow what the markets like and could do with some good advise on where to stat ref price. There are so many horses for sale at the moment and the prices vary so much .Many thanks

looks like a very nice mare and good breeding.Think prices are down in the pre christmas period but if she is that straightforward with some competitve experience under her belt, then I would be thinking of the 5 - 6K depending on where you are in the UK. If you are looking at increasing her value, then getting her to parties so she is "proven" and not just"imo" will help a lot.

So do you think getting her to some more dressage over the winter would help the price? Or is there something else that would be more benifical that im missing?

yes i see, i dont want to over price her and waste peoples time. But having said that she is a good sort to find so dont want to giver her away either.

Have you actually taken her away to do any jumping competitions. If not definitely try and do that and get some good pics of her in action. Perhaps even take her XC schooling in the better weather.
Do you know anyone who could give an honest critique of her conformation from a showing point of view? That might give you an idea if she has real potential in that direction too.
And yes definitely some more dressage with different judges to show it was not a one off. In unaffiliated judging can vary quite widely I have found especially if not by a listed judge.

It really depends on when you advertise her, where you are etc.. It could range from £4k -£8k depending on these, and of course if you find the right buyer..

she has been to somerford and jumps the tyres ditches etc and has been to regular jumping clinics but yes i will try and get her to some small competitions to see how she goes away from home in a competition enviroment. Im in no rush so i can easily wait untill spring.
I have a friend of a friend who lives for showing her family regulary are at hoys, etc etc it was actually her idea to push her towards the medium weight show hunter so im asuming she thinks the mare has something worth working with.
Thanks very much for taking the time to give me some advise. I was thinking around the £5 k mark so im now reassured.
