Hi, I am new to the forum and would really appreciate your help, knowledge and advice for my daughter.

She 7 years old and weighs about 3st 10lbs (a little peanut!!). She has been riding a few months now is is doing really well, she is walking, trotting, canter and just did her first jump (tiny). The problem is her legs and feet. When cantering her legs seem to rise up and her little feet come out the stirrups, this unbalances her and her confidences goes. Would sticky bum jodphurs help to keep her in the saddle more? Or is a case of lots of riding without stirrups to try and "stretch" her little leggies???? I appreciate your help. Thanks

Welcome!!!

There would be no harm in buying the sticky bum jodhs....BUT it sounds like she needs to work on keeping her weight downwards and into her heels. It may be that if she is slightly unbalanced in her top half (perhaps tipping forward) or tensing her upper body (in an attempt to stay on/in balance) that this could account for the heels coming up. Work w/out stirrups even in walk would be great if she is at a sufficient level (Speak to your instructor)

Hiya, When mine were tiny I found the only thing that kept their little bottoms a bit more secure was a synthetic saddle as gave more grip.
