Basically sometimes when i get to the stables before 8am or so, my 4 yr old has literally just got up or not long been up as is covered in shavings and has prints of shavings on his body etc.
Anyway, the problem (or possible problem) is that sometimes his near back leg drags when i try to move him over in the stable. Its always the same leg but he generally always lies one particular way too. But its like the first 2 or 3 movements he has to drag the leg, and it stutters to catch up to go across with outside hind leg. (Hope this is making sense)
Once he has walked a stride he is fine and doesnt bother him in the slightest, never had a days lameness or stiffness. Moves fine on small circles etc.
Could it be such a thing as a "dead leg" or cramp ie like us when we have slept on our arm or whatever??
Or do you think i should mention to the vet? Thing is he wouldnt see anything unless he got there at 7am and woke Baz up
thanks in advance if you got this far and are not confused
