For the past few weeks all i seem to do is go round topping up water buckets, so i had a thought. Instead of going round the yard collecting all the water buckets, taking them up to the tap outside the house, (since the one on the yard is broken) filling them up, then having to drag them all back to the yard again, would it not be easier to use these top up the waters? We could fill them up and store them in the barn, then just walk round the yard filling up the buckets. It would be a lot less messy, and they'd be a lot easier to carry round the yard. Do you think it would work, or would it just be more hassle?

YO uses a flexible water butt thing which fits nicely in a wheelbarrow to take water to the fields. I assume she could use this for topping up water buckets on yards (but all stables have automatic waterers).

Will try to find a link . . .
