I've finally mastered (not sure you can call it 'mastered' but you know what i mean) sitting trot!! i've been riding everything for the last 3 weeks without stirrups, even the racehorses at work!! progress has been made, and my stirrups have gone down 2 holes from my normal dressage length

Going to have one last jump tonight, then some more flatwork on Fri and Sat morning before going up to Badminton for some inspiration.. then leaving here sometime on Sun..

woohoo, actually getting a bit excited now, and not just thinking 'oh well, it's not like we have a hope in hell' ..
I know we'll be in the bottom half after the dressage, but being in the upper half of the bottom half now, instead of very last is my new aim!!

Ah cool! Im sure you'll do fab! Im going to watch, as my horses next door neighbour is in the intermediate & my instructor is in the 2*, its only up the road so I thought Id go have a watch. Whats your horse called (if you dont mind me asking)? Ill keep an eye out for you on the xc & I'll try and get a decent piccy of you, if I remember!

good luck hun, do your best and just think you stand an even better chance now after all the hard work you have put into it! good luck!

Good luck. It always looks a decent track to ride. Have a fab time and enjoy. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

Ernie will rock, just gutted i wont be there to support you guys *sob*

Next time can you find something further south please??

I shall expect txt updates throughout the day too!

Best of luck

maybe see you there then..... going to walk the course tomorrow to inspect the ground so will report back as its nearby!

Jemayni - Maddy used to teach me in PC!!

Good luck! Shena KK made me ride for a month without stirrups before badders! Almost forgot how to ride with them. I've heard Simon Crippen - an SJ guy based down the road who I've been thinking about having lessons with - is big on making you jump without stirrups!

I've had to take mine back, just for that fact, i'd forgotten how to ride with them

am going to stick my feet to the irons

its my first time there to..... helping out tho! not riding, wouldnt dare and my old nag would have a hart attack just looking at the jumps!

Good luck & Best Wishes.
Hope to hear a full report next week.
Would love to get an opinion on how difficult it is as it could be a possibility for me next year - if everything goes according to plan (which means probably not !).
At Osberton do they SJ 2nd or last ?
Do you think this makes much of a difference ? My 2 local CIC** both SJ last which I don't particularly fancy.

Been to walk the course - looks nice, more technical than big but fair. Water is a bounce in to a skinny barrel that is in the water and a few other decent questions. They've made a CIC dressage arena this time which is ncie, next to the sponsors tents.

Tried with the ground but it is hard still, some bits good others hard and rutted. Person i work for will run one of hers who needs the qualification, slowly but the other that is going off to Punchestown isn't being run as don't want him jarred now.

See you tomorrow!!
