I bought a pair of Just Togs Country boots at YHL last November.

Yes, I'll admit they were cheap and you only get what you pay for BUT.... they are comfortable, waterproof and wearing well. The only problem I have with them is the suede leg part has gone floppy and whilst I pull them up when I first put them on, if I ride in them, they slide down my legs and end up looking like little more than scrunched up ankle boots.... :o

I'm looking to buy a better pair (can't afford Ariats before you all hail them!) and they have to be a wide-leg for my chunky calves anyway, so that cuts quite a few pairs out of the frame for starters, but can anyone recommend country-style boots that you can ride in where they stay rigid up your leg, please? Do the ones that are suede that have "rings" of leather/nubuck stay up?

I have the Tuffa Suffolk boots which are very comfortable and don't slip. They do a riding version too, the Country Rider I think they're called. I won't ride in Country boots full stop due to the lack of support they offer, but mine are doing very well as yard boots.
