So I'm thinking of getting a pair of country boots as a pressie for my birthday, having never had a pair before I'm hoping someone could offer some advice on what on earth to choose, there are far too many out there!

I'm looking for a pair under £100, I wont use them daily so I'm definitely not in the market for a pair of Ariats or Dubarrys as they are WAY too expensive for what I'm looking to use them for. I'll use them for mainly walking around the yard or at shows (spectating) and ocasionally riding in them.

Here are a few I'd seen that I like the look of, if anyone owns any of these and can give me their reviews that would be most appreciated!

Thanks in advance everyone :)

I have some Dublin river boots, got them just after xmas and they're worn a few times a week, both to go out and to the yard. They've had a good scrub when I got them filthy, and wear them with a welly liner. No problems with the sole (i believe the old style was a thin sole), really comfortable and did a day walking round London in them.

Equestrian clearance have had some Ariats on for around £90. I'm on my phone so can't quote but some lovely fellow HHO'er put a link to it around January time...they might still have some!

I've had some Mark Todd Country Boots for 3 winters now (same pair!) and they have been brilliant. Warm, 100% waterproof, comfy, good to walk, ride in or do yard work. And they have lasted really well.

This ^^^ is where I got mine from as they had the best price. They are showing as out of stock but I'm sure you would find them elsewhere on the web for under £100. :)

Found the thread - it's titled "bargain Windermeres". Checked the link and they still do have a few pairs left- fine if your a size 4.5 or a 7.5!
