After getting drenched last night and this morning I've decided having feet swimming in boots is no fun and I need to buy new boots. Really quite annoyed as my boots are meant to be waterproof and they're not. They've also collapsed at the ankle despite having adjustable lacing. Only had them a few months :(

I don't want to have to stretch to Dubarry's, with Christmas coming up, but will if that's all that will do the job.

I need something smart - I do the school run prior to yard twice daily. I love brown leather ! Something that's easy to clean with a hosepipe and soft brush prior to leaving yard (will get proper cleaning too). Something that will withstand ankle deep mud and water and snow, and with a good grip for the snow and ice. Oh and warm too!

Any ideas?

Hope I'm not breaking T&C's as I got a telling off last time I asked for a recommendation :o

I love my Toggi Columbus boots - 4 years hard wear and they're still waterproof! And I have really abused them! They don't get cleaned very often but when they do, they scrub up quite nicely :) will be investing in another pair next year as I think this winter might just do current pair in, and they will have to be kept as 'summer boots' :p

Ponypilotmum.. what ones do you have currently? (As I'm on lookout for a newpair, so I'd like to know which to avoid)
Also I currently have the toggi Columbus ones and really don't rate them I'm afraid!
