hi was just wondering if anyone here has had a foal to country top dollar?...............have put my mare to him due for her 17 day scan on 16th. have only seen one of his foals at a distance was all legs!!..........he's a coloured stallion however the foal i seen was jet black to a chestnut mare!!.my mare is bay and i'm not bothered if i have coloured or not just as long as its healthy! just wondered what he throws, his temprement is to die for which is the main reason he was picked and not just as hes coloured!!

thanks, will do.......thats a really cute foal!! who did you put your mare to???.......does your mare have a really nice temprement??.....just wondering if that side of these horses go back to stetson or if its from dams side.

the foal is by Materpiece. who is the sire of my eventer -

The mare has a fantastic temprement, very easy going, I did BYEH qualifiers on her at 4 and 5 and she was nearly grade B SJ and Novice eventing at 8. sadly she had a bad rotational fall XC and lost her nerve, so thats why we decided to put her in foal. She is really great with the foal, when the Vet came out to assist (as foal got stuck) she couldnt believe that Nico was woodys first foal as she was so good with him and all the people in her stable when he was born!

I Def think the SJ ability come from the sires side, country top gun has been very sucessful, she has the neatest jump and i can count on one hand the number of poles she has had down in the last 7 years!

god thats good!.....hope that my foal follow the bloodline with the jumping good!!..get to my age and you break not bounce!!, and still need to add 4 years on to my age!!!!......my mare is really good with foals, when i got her she was a BOGOFF, and i'm convinced that she has had them before as she was so good but then she could have been just like your mare and just a really good mum. whats your plans for your foalie??

shes lovely!...is her temprement sweet as well???.......seems like everyone has gone to top gun!!, we've got one horse on our yard due next month to him and another that is at the stud now waitin for her 40 day scan. hope there is someone out there that has used top dollar!!

well we plan to keep him and the mare, try bringing her back into work and just SJ her, then prob put her back in foal is 3 or so years time. I would like to event the foal, think the eventing side in my gelding comes from Miley (masterpieces sire) who has sired alot of eventers. SO hopefullt Nico will be a good event horse, If he doesnt take to eventing hopefully he will follow in his mums hoofprints and be a careful show jumper!

What are your plans for your foal?

plans...............well would like somethin that can do a bit of everythin!!.....worked out i'm gonna be 32 and a half when foals old enough to be broken and have discovered that it hurts when i fall of now!!!.......ideally would like somethin that i can compete on in showjumping or crosscountry but failing that some dressage!!.........plan on givin mum a year off then putting her back into foal havent decided what to gonna wait till foalie born see what thats like maybe have full brother/sister then!....cant see me ever gettin on the mare as shes a bit nuts! and she wont tollerate anythin in her mouth!! shes a bit to headshy to try a hackamore so think its best she stays retired and if sails through this pregnancy then will put her back in!!

god damn horse!!!
