This message is dated Wednesday 24th April 2013 for Maidenhead.
To coincide with the TVP re-launch of Country Watch, PC Howard Rose and PCSO Liz Davidson have organised an event where TVP will be represented at the Berkshire College of Agriculture open weekend on the 27th and 28th April, in Burchetts Green, Maidenhead. It is expected that over 14,000 people will visit the event over the weekend.
This will be a great opportunity for the Maidenhead West Neighbourhood Team, to get local residents signed up on the spot to TVP alerts and Country Watch, using the new remote wireless Alert Portal they will have with them.
Maidenhead West is a predominantly a rural area, with lots of farms and rural businesses, scattered around the outlying districts. By setting up a TVP Mobile Police Point at the event, it is hoped that TVP can raise the awareness of rural crime and those initiatives that TVP have launched, to combat this problem.
The Neighbourhood Team have arranged for the PCSO mascots, PCSO Proud and PCSO Respect to be present, to engage with the younger visitors to the event.
