I've just been watching Countryfile and the blond presenter has got on a horse after a long break and a crisis of confidence, and I was grinning like an idiot - been there, done that kind of feeling. So lovely to see, and I'm sure a huge boost to the many other people who probably feel the same. Just a happy post!

I've just been watching that too, and I thought it was so great how she managed to get back on! Although when they were feeding the horses I thought one of the ponies was going to take a chunk out of the camera man! :)

Yes just watched it too made me smile to see someone feeling so good about getting back on a horse, although missed why she was so nervous if she mentioned it.

Lovely horsey too, really kind eye that Robbie. The coloured cob at feeding time threw a brilliant MYFOODBACKOFF face at the camera man. Priceless! Well done Helen.

Me and Mum were watching it and grinning like idiots too!

Mum used to ride by has had a nearly 25 year break. I did manage to get her on Blobby once, but it was a short ride and we didn't do much.
I hope to get her on Ned for a walk around the field :D

I felt reassured watching her, a woman that braves kayaking through the amazon has nerves riding a horse... I am not alone or stupid for having nerves..

Well done to her for telling everyone though

Absolutely brilliant to show something like that - well done Helen!

And also, Thaxted, the village with the Morris Men is where I live - we got a shock!!

Wonder why they used a RDA group to do so though...

Great for Helen though, been there, done that and to admit on national tv is a biggie. Hope she continues to enjoy riding :biggrin3:

Thought it was lovely - and Robbie the pony was a saint! Helen seemed so happy to be back in the saddle once she got going!
