has anyone used this website?? is it good or bad, just wondered, as dont want to order off it if its rubbish!!
thanks

I ordered a bridle from them, took weeks to turn up when it was in stock but they did get the order right. Friends have used them and had no problems, not the quickest delivery but normally within the week.

Don't get me started!! Wrong items delivered, delivery often takes 5/6 weeks without any explanation for the delay, I returned some items and the refunds have taken 2 weeks (after I rang up to query why it hadn't been credited) - to now 4 weeks and counting (this time I am waiting to see how long it takes them to refund £60 without me chasing them). Bearing in mind that the £60 jacket wasn't what I ordered anyway!

Be prepared to spend A LOT of time on the phone. I have placed 4 orders with them and only one of them has gone smoothly. They never let you know that there is a problem.

I will never, ever deal with them again. When you compare them to Rideaway and Derby House with whom I have placed about a dozen orders over the years, and not one of them has had a problem. I seriously don't know how Country Supplies stays in business.

The only good thing is that they are very pleasant and helpful-sounding on the phone.

And, as I have been in correspondence with Susan, the manager there, I would be happy to put my name to that little rant (apologies for the rant though). She knows all about my complaints! They are minor on the scale of things, but they have got my goat.

Think the big problem is they only hold stock of the really popular items. For all other items they get the supplier to send it out, so you are at the mercy of whether the supplier is quick (and whether they have got the item you ordered!)

Right, grovelling apology from me re the last return - the Post Office have lost it in the post (despite it being recorded delivery) so it never arrived at Country Supplies hence why over a month later I'm still waiting for a refund. It's not their fault.

But...Post Office rant coming up...I freely admit that i do not know the relative pros and cons of the various differnt ways of posting things, I get a bit lost with all the options. So when i specify to the lady behind the counter that I need to post a parcel, value of £85, with guaranteed next day delivery, I do not expect her to give me totally the wrong thing! DO NOT USE RECORDED FIRST CLASS - it does not mean that it will get there, nor does it mean you are insured. I now see the back of my receipt does state this fact, but of course I just put that in my purse and forgot about it.

Ho hum. £85 down the drain!!!
