Hiya

Just wondered what classes I could do with an unregistered Connemara...?

I'm sure he is full connie as looks it but is on a white passport as unregistered. He is within height at 14.2H but i don't think I would be able to do the M&M as not registered.

Id rather avoid  jumping at this stage so will rule me out of the WHP classes.

Would he be applicable for Show Hunter classes or riding horse or hack...? he is quite fine and dainty if that helps...?

Thanks x

If he is under 148 cm he is too small for any horse classes at county level, all the classes that have a height limit require a height certificate and there is a minimum as well as maximum.

He could do pony classes, SHP or riding pony if he is the right type and the rider is the correct age, again height cert required as is registration with the relevant society.

If he is not reg as a Connemara he can not be shown at county level or any show that requires the pony to be registered.

I would go to some local shows with him , they are less strict with heights and you could do much more, riding horse, small hunter, RC horse plus loads of other classes.

Oh no...he might be applicable for pony classes but rider is the wrong age at 28...lol...

Thank you - I will measure him properly - he may well be possibly slightly over 148cm now he is older, although his passport says 148cm in height and he has an white Irish Horse board ID passport and is down as an ISH although he looks like a Connie in type etc... x
