Hi there,
Just bought some magnesium oxide for my new horse as the spring grass is working its magic!!! the instructions say 2g per 100kg. He is a 17hh TB so think I should be giving him about 14grams? I have a 15ml scoop so is one scoop a day enough? Should I give him half in morning and night or is it best to feed it in one meal? Also roughly how long should it take to show its effects? Thanks!

Hiya, you would feed according to the instructions as to the weight of your horse? I presume you are feeding Mag ox as a calmer as opposed to your horse being footy? If so it will only have an effect if your horse is deficient in magnesium and can take a couple of weeks but again depends on your horse some will show effects in a few days in my experience.
It doesn't matter how you feed it as long as you get the correct amount into him daily.

This ^^^

I feed it to my girl when she has to start being stabled again every winter and I find that it takes just less than a week to notice a change. I tend to put it all in one feed.
I would definately weigh him before you start giving it to him so you can get a clear indication of how much he needs. It would be shame to not be giving him enough and vice versa.
