Hello, planning to take my lad out for the second time, on boxing day, provided I don't blow every last penny on Christmas presents! Murphy likes to make sure everyone knows he is there by spending much of the day on his hind legs, much to my embarrassment. So going to do my best to look the part in the hope people will forgive us.
I do have a tweed jacket, I think it is more correct to be in tweed than a show jacket but as my tweed is a little on the small side I think we would look smarter in plain black show jacket? Also intend to wear long black boots, spurs, off white breeches, cream stock, brown whip and a black hat silk. Then he will be in brown bridle, 5 point breast plate and jumping saddle with brown numnah and with the neatest plaits I can manage.
So like this with the addition of black jacket, breastplate, hunter clip and a hip flask?
Does this all sound right to you all? And please could you remind me of any basic manners? Am I right in thinking it would be good manners to ring the secretary to check it is okay to come along and find out how a days tab is?
Mulled wine and a mince pie for anyone that gets through all that, thanks in advance
