I have a show on Sunday and am doing M&M so obviously henry needs to look good. Henry...being henry has been playing viciously in the field an had a large-ish cut on his back thigh, often hidden by his tail, but noticable. Its now just a bald patch healing, so you can see his skin. I need something to cover it up, but don't know of anything to use to make it less noticable. Does anyone have any ideas?

you can get stuff for this its like brown boot polish (or you could just use boot polish i guess not sure how good it would be for horse but...) i think its called horse make up or something like that. Have had to use it in the past, most average sized tack shops will have some. Otherwise, use some make up, it normally does the trick.
 
You have several options...

1) Boot polish
2) Proper horse makeup - approx £10 per pot, available from supreme showing products - I use this on my mare's scars in the county show ring, but have to say am not overly impressed with the difference
3) Cornucresin - I used this on my dark brown/black horse - it depends how noticeable the place is really. I was using it as it to help the hair grow back, but when it came to show day, it blended in with his colouring really well, so I smeared that on rather than makeup

I think that your best bet would probably be boot polish by the sounds of it

I bought a tube of the horse make-up and left it on my dashboard in the sun

Get some black antibacterial power and mix it into a paste with water. Then it's just anti-bac for an injury as some judges can be a little picky about makeup on m&ms.
