Covered too early in cycle?

I have recently had my mare covered on day 3 and 5 of her season she then continued to show in season for a further 3 days however due to travel restrictions was unable to have her covered again. I have read mares ovulate towards the end of their cycles is it there fore less likely she will take to the coverings on day 3 and 5?

What did she scan as, often our mares don't really show but on scanning have a large ready follicle.

We did not scan unfortunately had planned to cover every 48 hours till she went off however events out of my control mean we only got her on the days mentioned.

You will have to wait and see then, will you scan for twins or not scan at all.

No we always scan for twins so I will have to wait and see I guess

i had a mare who had such a good time, she would stand for my stallion for up to 10 days! I got wise to her, covered twice with a day in between, and she got in foal each time.
