Hi guys,

My mare got a kick to the head about a month and a half ago and its healing really well, however hoping to show this summer- got any ideas for covering it? also she had to have her forelock shaved off when the vet was dealing with the wound, its now at the 2 cm long spike stage! do you think this will hinder us? we are only showing at local level- maybe some working hunter, riding club horse and pre veteran classes :)

I use supreme horse cover spray for delicia's marks, and the shine spray to make it look less 'flat' black colour. :) Maybe give supreme horse products a call, they were ever so helpful with me.

Ive got the pots of makeup and spray paints from Supreme Products, they do a good range of colours and you can blend the pots to suit.

The forelock is long enough to sew a false plait on :)

As above, Supreme do cover make up for most colours and you can buy some black or white to mix in to get the shade right.

Make a false plait for the forelock and sew it into the hair you have.

Megatek applied daily will work well at getting the scar reduced/gone and the forelock growing back fast.

I get mine from tailgator.co.uk

Moustache dye if you can find the right colour.

But being chestnut, probably not the best idea! Go with Supreme make up :)

Has she got enough mane to draw forward under her bridle to make up a forelock, or can you pull enough from her mane to make a false one? You can buy false forelocks, can't remember who from though.
