Does anyone use them and where can you get them from?
Probably easiest to get them from a farmer who uses them, they would probably sell you one and lend you the pliers to put them in.
I don't think you're going to be punching a hole in your horses ear are you??I believe horse people who use these fly tags sew then onto the mane just behind the ear
Seem to remember that "Alec Swann" on here said a while back (are you there Alex??? - think it was you???) that in order to be effective the fly tag MUST actually touch/be in contact with the horse's coat, so just tying them on a headcollar and leaving them to "dangle" as it were, won't work, as the way they work is for the substance in them to touch the horse's coat and impregnate it.
Are you there - whoever you were???

So you could put the tag on the inside of a headcollar if turned out, or sew it inside a fly/sweet itch rug, for instance.
Remember that someone on here in previous years has bought these tags - you can only get them in quantities of about twenty I believe, and then we all Pm'd him/her and said how many we'd like, and did it that way. But can't remember who it was now!!!
