I took the tail of our cow out of the freezer last night to feed to the dogs today. Just checking it will be okay if I chop it into 5 pieces for them? Not sure how long the tail is as it is in brown paper and will have to bite the bullet and open it shortly, however I'm more thinking of could there be anything in a tail which could catch in their throats?

They get all parts raw by the way.

It was already cut up into 10 pieces, all a bit bigger than I was expecting, so I have no worries. They are all tucking into their tail now!

Lol! One of my previous collies used to love horses tails - silly little sod used to leap at the tail, horse would canter off with her attached to the tail hairs

. She'd be flying through the air and she could only get off it once I called the horse back to me and kept him still till she untangled her teeth. Frickin' dope of a dog.

The horses and the dogs grew up together; they were the same age and I think the horses used to find it as play too because the young collie was never hurt and they never tried to kick her.

The old collie however had a habit of nipping at their heels (she was bred to be a cattle dog) as she used to help bring the horses in for me. One day she was kicked and it smashed her face on one side. Broke her orbital and jaw and put her off her work for ... ohh ... at least 2 days.
