Crack in Frog

i have a 15.2 Cob he is 16 years old with cushings,he has now developed a deep crack in his frog,can anybody suggest the best way to treat it?

pack cotton wool soaked in iodine / hibscrub into the crack - you'd need to bandage over to keep it in but make sure the foot is clean and changed at least once, preferably twice daily until any infection is cleared up, then use sudocream or similar to pack as it grows down making sure it's kept clean
