Cracked/dry hooves

I rub Tesco aloe vera moisteriser into my horses hooves if they get dry, which seems to do the trick.

Also, try feeding black oil sunflower seeds. Since I have fed these, I have had not one problem with feet or skin in any of my horses.

Kevin Bacon sorts my lad out - he gets extremely dry feet and it's miles better than Effol which I used use. My farrier recommends it as do alot of other farriers

I use Tesco's Vitamin E moisturiser (for hands and nails) - you get a big bottle of it so it last ages and is WAY cheaper than any horsey stuff.

You should be able to get big (20 / 25kg) bags of black sunflower oil seeds from your local farm-type shop or bird-feed store.

Thanks guys

Another vote here for Kevin Bacon......not the liquid one though, the paste type one. It helps the hoof, all the farriers around here recommend it aswell.
