The fields are waterlogged, I turn my friends horses out every day as well as mine and leading up to their field is like a ploughed field! Im slipping and sliding with a horse either side!!! I got soaked this morning!

So glad im going to Milton Keynes schooling tomorrow before it gets any wetter - even though it is already very wet!! And I reckon im going to get pretty wet tomorrow, so a change of clothes will need to be taken I think!!

And are the BE events really going to run this weekend!!!! Even if the XC course etc is ok - its getting the lorries in and out!!

This time last year i was prepared for Stilemans. We had freezing condidtions even snow saturday morning!
They took the water jump out and teh drop fences, they ran the xc 2 hours later than planned. It even started to snow!
This year its gonna be very very wet! good ground at Stilemans but still! with over 400 horses over it, not sure how long it will withstand that for.

I am so pleased i havent entered anything, i would be pulling my hair out!
Good luck tomororw with MKEC, friend went last night after hiring the arena, she mentioned that the carpark was 2 inches thick with liquid mud

Says they have light rain today - we have heavy rain!

And it will be light showers tomorrow with sunny intervals!!

Hopefully they will be when I am riding!!! Oh well I have my full length chaps and a coat! i will be fine!!!

Good job I am only after jumping the small fences though nd dont need much of a runn up to them!!

Hope MK goes ok for you HJ.

I was wondering this morning whether BE will actually get started this weekend, as planned.

More rain expected I think. BBC forecast says unsettled weather well in to March (have been monitoring weather, as my truck is leaking

I was wondering about the early events too! I am in at Oasby, but they have forecast rain all week, and however good the ground is I am sure they will be careul not to wreck it! I am also supposed to be xc schooling this weekend at Somerford, but I bet they close the xc and just open the farm ride

Hoping Isleham runs this weekend. It drains amazingly well both there and Poplar, It just depends on whether they let the lorries on the groung.

Times not up yet but Bee is near the top of her section so at least it won't be too cut up by the time she goes XC.

I know how you feel. Its begining to get on my nerves now, and I usually like the rain. Our school has 3 big ponds in it making it virtually impossible to school in and the wet is making it difficult to start my lorry!

Hurry up and dry out!
