Crash Course in Puppy Parenting!

We are the proud owners of an 8 week old golden lab

But, since it has been over 5 years from last having a puppy, I was wondering if you can give me a crash course in puppy parenting

Your best tips on house-training, basic obedience (can never start too early imo, especially after previous dog was a beagle ) etc. please

Pup is in a chicken run during day (will be alone for about 2-3 hours a day) but we have another dog (border) who is free to roam house etc.
She is currently fast asleep on her blanket, which has a hot water bottle (1/3 full) underneath

Still a bit chilly at night so I'd have a heat lamp in there personally to avoid her getting chilled, best of luck but what we all need are pics
Do not whatever you do go to her when she cries/jumps up etc. in the run, house training it's just making sure you get her outside at every likely moment, e.g post feeding/playing/excitement and during the day every 2 hours at least if you can. Praise any 'going' (create a word-makes like very easy later on! 'Busy' is a common one).
Just like horse training really!

Oh sorry, the puppy will be sleeping in the house, but out for periods of the day in the run
