Hi
OH has just told me he forgot to order a crate for the above-we go to Mull next week. I've never bought one for a hatchback before-can anyone recommend one or knows which will fit please?

If you search on eBay using the car type, then make a note of the sizes and looks for the right sized crate. The same supplier charges more for specific car models but the crates are actually sold by size and are no different.

There is a busy FB page that might have what you are looking for.

I am coveting one of these - and think I have twisted my OH's arm to buy me one for Christmas (but they are a bit pricey - but excellent quality, crash tested, made in Scotland, and hold their value really well for re-sell if you change your vehicle).

one can dream! actually we got a really great crate for the van from that group. he will rarely go in the Focus tbh as its leased and generally full of children so its just for the odd occasion (and I'm not sure a full grown GR and a spinone will fit anyway lol!)

Ooh does this mean you have definitely chosen a Spin over a Smooth Collie? :)

no. pros and cons to each-equal footing right now. Smooths have the issue of whether that breeder will actually breed in the right time frame (I only want one of her smooths but wont wait indefinitely) plus she is 7 hours drive-a long way to travel a pup and that concerns me a bit. Spins are more accessible but large (obvs) and the epilepsy issue worries me right now-need to do some more research but meeting some more on saturday :)

I got mine from these people http://arrows-uk.com/cage-crate-travel-guard-hatchback-p-437.html - were super helpful when my car wasn't one on their list, and not needing a second mortgage either. Admittedly my car has a very large boot section but they will advise if you supply measurements

I needed one for my new Freelander and searched "dog cage for Freelander" on ebay, rang the company (because they said postage to NI was more expensive), they charged me I think a tenner postage and the crate (exact fit for the model of vehicle) came within 24 hours. The Landy dealership in town is now recommending them to their customers! Pet World Uk.
