What size crate do I need for my Border Terrier puppy? Will the same size last him into adulthood?

Can anyone link me to some cheap ones please?

Thank you :)

Petplanet do good budget crates. My Patterdale's crate has done her from puppyhood to now, she's 19 months old. I think hers is the Petplanet small size, don't make the mistake I made which is to think they need loads of room in a crate, the first one I bought could have fitted a Shetland pony in it our house rabbit lives in it now

You can get crate dividers to make crates smaller for puppies, then they can grow into them. Henry has a massive crate, but his was not for housetraining, but for stopping him making nighttime raids on the cupboards and bins:mad:

i got mine from ebay, was under £20 inc postage. it seems sturdy enough and i'm happy with it. i found a guide that said 3 inches above head i think, and min width the length of the dog. If you know roughly what size she will be as an adult i would use that as measurements. i would make sure its high enough because i didn't take into account the width of the bed!

Ok, which of these would be right for a Border Terrier?
Head says this size:
76cm Long x 53cm Wide x 59cm High (30" Long x 21" Wide x 24" High)

Heart says this size:
91cm Long x 60cm Wide x 66cm High (36" Long x 24" Wide x 26.4" High)

I have a 36" one, and it is a big bit of kit which takes up a fair bit of room! It's too big for Henry really (who is a Cocker, although size-wise he's probably closer to a small Springer than an average Cocker) and I suspect he's bigger than a Border.:)

I’ve gone for a 30 inch, inbetween both of your sizes! :D I can always buy a bigger one when he gets older if needed!
