I was going to post this in competition section but really it applies to anyone who likes any horsey activity!
Just come back from Winter League Champs and I have to say I cannot believe more people dont go there!
I had a great weekend, lovely people (david broome still very laid back and normal kind of guy - plus his sons are helpful), great food, great organisation, great surfaces, great competition!
Even if not competing I would go up there again just for a bit of a holiday!
My old gelding was placed in both warm up classes, ditched me on the floor in 1st champ round then won the other, meaning we came 5th overall in the uk in our section, well chuffed with him.
Even if we hadnt come home with rossies, it was just such a nice experience!
I would definately recommend anyone checks out what events they have going on and takes the trip up there.
We are based in Reading and it only took an our on the M4 just past the severn bridge!
Sorry to rave on but if you havent been up there to jump, no matter what your ability, you are missing out! The commentator was great fun but sensitive too!

I know I will be trying to qualify for summer champs for sure now.
All you have to do is do a double clear, you dont have to be placed. Well worth doing with any youngster if you want to get some experience under your belt.
Its child friendly, plenty of food and drink available and whether you have a posh box or dinky trailer and a tent, all are made extremely welcome.
