Has anyone here done this before? I have done the UK Riders one in Warks and qualified for Cricklands next April and duly entered.

Has anyone here been to the adult one before (SJ Section) any tips, advice as far as accommodation, competiton etc!!

They are splitting a couple of the classes for 35's and over this time YAY!!!! Oldies are in with a chance!!

It is a brilliant show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Broomies hold it on a amazing surface and the atmosphere is electric. The courses are good and a disco/bar entertainment its like a holiday with your horse!

I have jumped there loads and always came back with a gold medal but thats because my old pony Fable is brilliant and loves it there!

You will have a fab time!!

HEY!!!! I am going this year for the first time. I qualified a few weeks ago. I'm so excited. Which classes are you jumping?

I groomed at the Summer Juniors one and had an amazing time. We had a hugh camp site , i think we had 2 lorries, a caravan, 3 tents and a horse box for around 13 of us. The only potential issue I found was that the loos were MILES away from the campsite so if you don't have a lorry it is a bit of a pain.

I don't have any recomendations cos it is my first time as well but I should think that it is going to be BLOODY FREEZING in a tent in April so I am taking about 100 sleeping bags with me and a hot water bottle.

Broomies is great lol!! The atmosphere is great and the bar is always a laugh! i wouldn't say da loos are dat far away from the lorry park, tho i spose it depends which field ur in.

Thanks for the info!!! (remembers to take portable bog!)!! Will be a lorry thank goodness so hopefully no cold night trips to the loo!!

We have qualified in adults 2ft3 which is for over 35's this year as there seemed to be a lot of grief over ponies entering it with kids, so they have split it!

Gonna try and qualify for the 2ft6 also this weekend, heres crossing everything!!

Cannot go to high on my old boy now as at 23 he is beginning to feel it, cant ask the tricky questions that I used to!! - he can still turn like a pony which is fab but not as fast across the ring so twisty is good for us lol!!

Just looking forward to the break really as mate has qualified her wicked whizzy pony doing the 2ft6.

\cant wait

(whispers) I think I know who those kids are... they compete at my yard. And yes, they are amazing and have incredible ponies. Lovely kids though, great fun to hang out with and such a laugh.

I'm qualified in the 2'9. But I'm not over 35 so I guess I'll be in with the kids

Maybe will see you there (I'll be the one sneaking into your loo in the middle of the night

)

ha ha!!!! no worries "open bog"!!

No problems competing against kiddies myself as I am a big one!! My old boy reguarly lines up with ponies, although as I am getting older its a bit daft!!

Think they have split 2ft6 also, cannot remember what it said on the card!

Love seeing kids fly around especially since my nerve for all that has gone lol!!

Def see ya there!

Hi
I've been to broomies the last few years and will be there in april 07, doing the 2'6, 2'9, and 3'0 OMG i didnt know they were seperating the classes for over 35's I am so unlucky my birhtday is 15 April so i miss out in the over 35's by 6 days that is so unfair, ive never won cus the younger ones are so much faster at least i can look forward to being old enough for the Champs of GB in August

thats so unlucky!!! nightmare!!! - well like you say only a few more months then you can get with the oldies!!

I still dont understand when seniors dont ride in junior classes that juniors are allowed in senior classes its a bit daft really!

I think they should run a few classes just for the kids that seem to go along with their parents etc.

Marsden, i agree, why are the youngsters allowed in the adult classes, it is obvious they are gonna beat the oldies, 'give us a chance' the speed and turns are incredible don't get me wrong my horse is fast, but just too big to compete against these agile smaller models

oh well its not the winning that counts it the taking part

if anybody needs the loo i will be in the big blue lorry,

You have got the chance !! Been given a class all for yourself.....In the End of day James cant open a class so everyone can win a medal its a competition in the end of the day.....So i think hes being generous!!
Dont agree with Juniors having two shots at the title though...You are either under 16 or over 16 in my eyes!

well not yet i havent im not old enough for the oldie classes, as i said its not the winning that counts.........

I think its going to be hot competition in the oldie classes aswell from what im hearing , loads of people are doing it!! Phew if its the likes of my mum doing it , it will be more competative than the juniors!!

Top show though both the championships....i love them!!
