Took pone to CM today to do the 1.15 and then 1.20

The weather was AWFUL - hailstones etc

Warmed up ok, after being a VERY agitated pony and then sticking his head on the floor like he was ill

Wanted to try the Waterford again though

anyway, went into the ring and he tensed all the way up and down his body, cue trying to shoot off etc

did a few canter/walk/canters and then went upto the first fence...and he pinged!

he pinged EVERYTHING - gave everyfence (no joke) about 2ft of air and, even though the course was very twisty, it suited him as it made him think fast and pick up

I only cocked up one related, when I thought he wasn't going to make the distance so I made him pop in another (which he didn't fight me, as normal!)

Cue a clear round (well double clear as it was A7), a very happy jules, and a smug ponio!

i decided not to do the 1.20, because, as you can see from the pics, it was big, and I wanted to leave on a very high note and not screw everything up

I swear I have never had such a good round on him - he honestly was pinging more than I have ever known him to do - he nearly jumped me out of the saddle over one!

CF yep absolutely - it's amazing how magic it is proving to be - there isn't anything for him to get hold of so therefore he has nothing to fight against or complain about!

ok vid is uploading - it's not 100% perfect, and it looks a lot worse on the vid than it felt in real life but fugger me it felt AWESOME

Are you going to do the Eventers thingy at Houghton? The two-phase thingy- it's a 1.15ish and he looks like he'd devour it! He's fab!

How big is he, because he looks so ponyish, but also quite horsey...
