I know it is far, far better to learn in lessons etc but I also like reading books about different techniques! Can anyone recommend a book about riding different types of XC fences? I have got Lucinda Green's book but it doesn't really cover skinnies (my main problem) - is WFP's book any good?

Oh yes, I had forgotten his! Thanks for reminding me. I suppose I will actually need to try and jump some skinnies too

Regretfully I know you are right - just hate feeling like a total a***e when it all goes wrong for the millionth time. Still, I'll never get it right without practice will I

Practice them at home - We have short poles @ 3ft each and we jump them on their own as doubles as offset doubles and narrow corners ect etc. And then riding them out on the course it shouldnt be a problem of you practice and practice at home!!
