Inspired by a post on another Board, where they are all, wisely, still fast asleep. Unlike me, I am too hot and am wide awake, it's 4am

Most people have probably heard of Pintaloosa (Pinto x Appaloosa) Quarab (QH x Arab) and Morab (Morgan x Arab) but what other cross bred names are there, or even better, that you can make up?

Quarreling = QH x haflinger

Warmland - WBxHighland
New Punch - New ForestxSuffolk Punch
(this is fun, better than working!)

Am getting carried away with the Suffolk Punch X -
Welsh Punch (something you get in Cardiff on a Saturday night)
High Punch - similar to the Glasgow kiss??

sorry - will go to work now

Thoroughdale - TB x clydesdale
Shetire - Shetland x shire (unlikely I know!)
Felling - Fell x haflinger
Clevish Cob - Cleveland Bay x Welsh Cob

Brillo - (Brumby x Crillo)

Hacktrak - (Hackney x Trakehner)

Mustpunch - (Mustang x Suffolk Punch)

Needless to say none of these are recognised crossbreeds.

Donkey Bay - that's what I own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toad - winner of Royal is a Cleveland Grey - beautiful dapple grey part bred Cleveland Bay!

My, Enfys, you DO spend a lot on time on the 'net!

I like the ones that sound important but basically mean "grade horse". I think my fav is the "Georgian Grande" - a Percheron/Saddlebred cross that even has its own book now. And the farm that started the "American Warmblood" bred draft crosses which they couldn't register anywhere else.

I know

, that's why I am invisible. I do have a life, really, it's just that I am at home all the time. I'd taken the dogs for a walk around the farm, in the pitch dark, to cool down (you know how sticky it gets here) before I gave up and started browsing forums. Coffee time now and then I have to get on with RL.

A real one

Arab X Tobiano = coloured arabs
What would you call a Shire X Dartmoor? generally ours gets called Thug, but a named breed would be nice!!!
Shiremoor
Shiredart
moorshire
mmmmmmmmmm
